EARS(Z)

1) Place an order, email us with your dreams, ideas, drawing, and/or photo, please include your postal address, full name and if you have a deadline if you'd like to pay our rush fee so we can ensure speedy delivery.

(the best and easiest drawing we can receive is if you right-click+save-as on the drawing templates below, color/draw on them in whatever way you like and then take a photo or send us a copy of your version.)

[We are not currently doing custom shapes, just colors and decorations]

2) We might respond with any questions we may have about your design and if necessary, give you alternate options. (if we are confident that we can make your exact design we'll skip this step) 

3) You'll receive your invoice detailing what’s going into your commission, with the amount and account to pay into (we only use bank transfers at the moment)

4) Once payment is confirmed we'll create, photograph, package and post your ears

5) You'll get an email with the official photos and tracking number.

6) We'd love for you to tag us in your photos or email them to us to add to our gallery and share your wonderful commission.

Please attach references for/let me know when your ordering;

Style preferences in size and shape. (real-life animal photos work best to show the shape, height of ears and length of tail would be best in cm’s)

Colours and shading you’d like on the fur,

If you’d like Ribbons, Bows, Gemstones, Jewelry or Chain, Charms, and/or other accessories. 

Reference photos as examples of what you’d like are great and all - but we will not exactly copy other artists work. Please do not ask us to.

Tag us in your stories, posts, Tiktoks etc’ We love to see you guys wearing and using our creations. It brings us happiness like no other😊 It’s also a great way to keep supporting us months after your purchase.

Zideways does not generally consent to having it’s pieces outright copied, used for misguided content or outright stolen. 

As an artist, we understand the feeling when you really like a design and want to make something like it yourself. So we are open to receiving dm’s with your idea/dream. We're happy to discuss options.

Outright copying is not flattery, it’s stealing. Please don’t. If it is discovered by zideways that our work has been recreated or any of the above without written permission all offending parties will be blocked, reported, and at worst for large offences possibly even legal action. 

This being said some designs we can not say is our own as they’ve been around for centuries. (Ie’ some of our dresses, capes, skirts, bags, pillows, etc)

Please do not tinker with / change the appearance of without our written approval. 

You wouldn't paint on top of someone else's painting would you?

These are similar things in our eyes - as our ears are painted after we’ve spent hours delicately making the bases. 

Why not? [TW - mention of animal abuse]

This policy was brought up after the 2022 Auckland Winter Armageddon,

When someone who will remain nameless on event day one brought a pair of realistic white, with pink underlay and gray shading ears and returned the next day with solid black paint on the tips and a attached oversized skull charm that was pulling on the side of the ears making them slip down the headband and look like someone had dropped their cat in hot tar.

[Important disclaimer - while we have made horror/vampire ears in the past we do not in any way condone animal violence of any sort. And would never post any photos of them without a trigger warning or display them right in front of younger people]

They could have asked permission, (Adriana would have been able to fix them on the spot with our specialty paints as we had our complete ear repairs and alterations kit with us as per advertised)

Or if they really feel the need to change them themselves at least had the decency to remove our tag and wear them somewhere else so that they’re not displaying those connotations in a family friendly space.  This policy was the best way we could think of to try to stop this from happening in the future.

We (Zideways) will never sell your information, use it for malicious intent or tag you in posts without your consent.

All sensitive information is permanently deleted upon confirmation. 

Your privacy also extends to your name and pronouns - we respect different names and pronouns being used in our communication and on shipping to places you are not out/safe in.

Disclosure: We can not control what choices our customers make.

While faux fur ears and tails are not inherently sexual, it would be naive to say they don’t ever get used in some communities. As always some things in some situations will get perceived in certain ways. Zideways would not like to be a part of that.

We make art, different communities like art. 

Different people use it in different ways. That's ok. 

Just please don’t involve us or tag us within anything 18+ or NSFW. Thank you.

For commissions over $300 payment plans are discussable.

OOAK items can not be refunded or exchanged.

Reselling is okay but we ask that you please sell at an equal or lesser price (not including postage)

Failure to do so will get you on our blacklist.
